Whether at the Grammy or Academy Awards® red carpets and after parties, celebrity fundraisers, or at hot vacation spots such as St. Barth, St. Tropez, and Aspen, Selma is surrounded by influential jet setters.

Born to Brazilian and Greek parents in São Paulo, Brazil, Selma took her South American flare and lived in other cosmopolitan cities like Athens, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Aspen, St Tropez, St Barth, and Cannes.

While in Athens, Selma studied architecture, photography, and fashion design. At the age of eighteen, she took her passion for the arts and moved to New York City – not speaking any English - she studied English, photography, jewelry design, and craftsmanship at Parsons School of Design.

She honed her skills and talent and was poached by both Harry Winston and Tiffany & Co. to become their master jewelry artist, designing one-of-a-kind pieces.

During her time as a jeweler, Selma had the urge to expand on her creativity and purchased a digital camera. She started attending high-profile Hollywood parties and events during her free time, capturing celebrities during special moments.  What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into a new career and lifestyle.

While the digital photography world was just taking off, Selma had the opportunity to capture Britney Spears's 18th Birthday Party, which was featured in Star magazine, thus launching her career as a photojournalist.  From there, in 2000, she was offered a position with Rush & Molloy Column at the NY Daily News, the most popular gossip column in America at the time.  Selma also founded CelebrityVibe.com, a photo news agency that licenses celebrity photographs and breaking news stories to publications worldwide.

With over twenty years of documenting A-list celebrities at high-profile events, Selma has curated the book series, PartyingWithSelma, which features selections of her best and favorite photographs and stories to share with the world.

Here I am, 4 million photographs later, still documenting… and I still love it, baby!

I’m your eyes and ears of the entertainment business.

See you at the next glamorous red carpet party.
