Russell Simmons said during his acceptance speech: "I am only here because they made me, they told me last minute, I said fuck ya I will be there." He also talked about Image LA: "They are mentoring the families and their children and giving them a new life, children that have children," he continued, "In the richest country in the world people should not be on the street suffering, shit, we should not let that happen."

The incredible music producer David Foster encouraged his two friends - American Idol alumni - Pia Toscano and Katherine McPhee to sing classic covers (that he had also composed and produced) and played the keyboard alongside all the performers. Porto Rican operatic and classical crossover tenor Fernando Valera performed with David Foster rumored girlfriend, Katherine McPhee, the Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli duet song “The Prayer”, hitting all the high notes.

Patrick Schwarzenegger told me he was feeling underdressed because he came right after his Theater play, he joked to me, "I am in my pajamas", I think Patrick always looks great, and the most important thing is that he came to support.
