Chris Ayer, Ian Grey, and Shannon K performed at “Voices of Tomorrow” while supporting and raising awareness for Boo2Bullying at Peppermint Club in West Hollywood on April 26th, 2017. I sat down for exclusive interviews with all three very talented musicians, their voices blow my mind.

Sony musician Chris Ayer performed his hit song “On The Blvd” and his new unreleased single “Stay Another Night”, which is schedule to release on May 19.

Chris told me: “It’s more of a sexual song than I’m used to. It’s about a breakup, where you break up with someone and you’re like, “Okay, we’re over, it’s done”; they packed up all their stuff, and it’s like the end of the evening, and you’re just like stay.  And then you try to convince them, and you convince yourself that it’s cool and you’re going to have one more night together, and it’s fine.  So it’s a song like an upbeat pop song about let’s just ignore all the shit we’ve been through and be together one more time.”

Ian Grey winner of The Pop Up Game has a contract with Timbaland’s label MMG, at 15 years old told me: “I grew up in a musical family, I’ve done music my whole life; I play two guitars and a ukulele, I tried to play as many instruments as possible.  I play five instruments.”

Ian continues: “The reason I write music is because it’s my only way of talking.  It’s my way of communicating about myself because I’ve never really been good at talking about it, like how I feel and my emotions and what I want to talk about it.  I’ve never been comfortable talking, but I’ve found a way through songwriting.  So it’s everything that I feel.  Everything that I’m afraid to talk about,  I have a fear of failure.  There’s so much on the line, and definitely for people to hear me.  I write about the longing for people to hear my music and to hear me and to wonder if this is even going to reach anybody.” After he performed his own songs "Sleep", "Better", "Coal" and he told me he is working on a new Album.

Shannon K said that her biggest inspiration is her father, Indian legendary singer Kumar Sanu.

“Yeah, Bollywood, I’ve been listening to his songs since the day I was born and I always wanted to be just like him.  Apart from him, my inspirations are Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Adele, and Ariana Grande.  I think I follow these ladies really well, and I guess I sing pop songs and I’ve come up with a lot of singles, about eight singles, and they’re all different genres and emotions.  I did my debut single when I was 12.  I’ve had classical training.  I was born in India but brought up in London.

The evening also served as the debut of her new nine-song album "Perpetual”, which will be released on May 5, and this is what she said about: “I try to put some classical touch into it, and this latest album, Perpetual, has just various kinds of emotions and style of moods. I guess the meaning of “Perpetual” is never-ending, so in a way, it’s kind of like how your emotions are never-ending, and how the way that you feel about something is always never-ending.  It’s like you’re never going to stop feeling something, you know, whether it’s a heartbreak or whether.
